Saskia grew up in Germany but soon discovered her love for travel, different languages and cultures. After finishing high school, she set out for Chicago, first as an au-pair and then at a destination management company to gain experience in the tourism industry. In 2003, she went to Durban to study while also exploring fascinating South Africa. An internship in Cape Town led her to fall in love with this vibrant city and there was no other choice but to stay and make Cape Town her new home. In her free time, Saskia loves to explore Cape Town’s beaches with her husband and two daughters and enjoys her search for the perfect chocolate dessert at one of Cape Town’s excellent restaurants.
